Have We Lost Our Way?

Why have so many politicians turned away from the Constitution and the precepts of our Founding Fathers when those are the things that made this nation great? Education reform? I would suggest a *mandatory* class on the Constitution for every high school student. Original sources without the progressive twist would absolutely make a significant positive impact.

A Civilian Army

And I saw where President Obama is calling for the formation of a private "civilian army" which would have funding equal to our armed forces. His rationale is the need for another option to better protect the United States. Sorry folks, but that is a bit too similar to the SA, the SS, and eventually the Gestapo for my taste. Given Mr. Obama's current agenda, I fear his real objective is "protecting" us from the rapidly growing number of US citizens who find his preferred political system of socialism/fascism distasteful.

You Can't Say That On Television

How can Congress justify calling some of America's corporations in to be chastised simply because they publicly reported that Obama-care will cost them millions of dollars, and will require a write-down? That is exactly what Rep Henry Waxman (D-CA) is asking for!
